Artist's Statement

I am a self taught Gourd Artist. I love gourds because they are a part of nature, I also grow my own. Gourds have become a fast growing medium in the art world. Amazingly gourds have been transformed into various forms of beautiful art. My art is a combination of pyroengraved, carving, painting and coiling. Gourds are wonderful canvasses to work on. My work has won many ribbons at gourd shows, and are in many private collections. I am a member of Alabama and American Gourd Society.
